Immune Modulation Research chemical

KPV

Also known as: Lys-Pro-Val, α-MSH (11-13)

KPV is a small tripeptide (Lysine-Proline-Valine) that is the C-terminal fragment of alpha-MSH (alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone). It carries the potent anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory activity of alpha-MSH without the pigmentation effects. KPV is particularly known for gut inflammation control, skin conditions, and the gut-skin axis.

Common Dose

200–500 mcg per day

Route

Subcutaneous injection

Frequency

Once daily

Mechanism of Action

KPV enters cells and acts on melanocortin receptors (MC1R, MC3R), suppressing NF-kB signaling and pro-inflammatory cytokines (TNF-α, IL-6, IL-8). It reduces inflammation at the source of immune cell activation. Particularly effective on intestinal epithelial cells, which is why it is often used for IBD, leaky gut, and inflammatory bowel issues.

Reported Benefits

  • Powerful anti-inflammatory effects
  • Gut barrier repair and IBD/colitis support
  • Acne and skin inflammation reduction
  • Improves the gut-skin axis
  • Wound healing support
  • Anti-microbial activity
  • Generally very well-tolerated

Side Effects

  • !Very well-tolerated
  • !Mild injection site irritation
  • !Rare GI upset
  • !Limited side effect profile
